As always my weekend did not go as I had planned.
All those wonderful projects I wanted to at least work on went to the wayside.
We enjoyed a BBQ and graduation with friends Friday night.
Saturday I did laundry, made up a meal plan and went grocery shopping.
(I shop an hour away from home so it becomes a 4-5 hour event.)
Sunday I could not get out of bed!
When I finally did I had to rush to get ready and make my gifts before the baby shower.
It always amazes me how quickly 5 hours will fly by!
To be fair I did have to run across town when an element of my gift wasn't working.
For being in such a hurry though I have to say that I'm pretty proud of my gifts.
A baby sock flower arrangement and onesie cupcakes.
Originally I wanted to make a baby sock topiary but didn't have enough socks.
Knowing I still wanted to use the baby sock roses I came up with the idea for the arrangement, and love it!
Now for the onesies...
In my inspiration post last week I shared an adorable idea for making onesies look like cupcakes.
Try as I might I could not get my onesies to look like that and after half an hour of trying I gave up.
I rolled them up thinking I would add them to the arrangement but didn't like it.
At this point I was out of time...
The rolled up onesies just went in the cake box as is.
It wasn't until I stood back to take this picture that I realized just how cute it all turned out!
The baby shower was fun, but all that baby stuff made my ovaries ache.
I spent the rest of Sunday day dreaming,
too distracted to be creative.
This weekend I'm taking Friday off too, lets hope with the extra day I can get more done!
The gift looks beautiful and so creative. Great ideas.
