fairy gardens

as promised here are the fairy gardens the girls made...

so i'm going to be honest here,

these did not look like this when we were done...

first of all they were in big metal bowls that i had found at a yard sale,

second the girls didn't help with these ones at all.

here's the thing,

they girls did help out a lot with the ones we did this weekend 

and were so proud of them.

they wanted everyone to see them!

so i put them out on the front porch.

it took all of 5 minutes for me realize that wasn't going to work.

my hubby is a smoker and does so on the porch :o(

they would be covered in ash by the end of the night.

i was upset.

i knew there was no way he was going to agree to stand in the yard,

especially come this fall.

i slept it off.

when i woke up this morning i had the solution!

at last years summer clearance sales i found two hanging baskets + brackets for $3.00!

now they are up and saved from looking as though mt. saint helens had blown its top again.
