map necklace

the idea for this necklace has been in my head for quite some time now

just wasn't sure how to pull off the map.

finally i decided to glue it to a piece of card stock,

mod podge the front and back,

then burn the edges so they didn't look so cookie cutter.

a sea turtle charm

+ a hula girl bead i turned into a charm and....

it turned out pretty damn cute;

at least i think so!

my girlfriend cried when i gave it to her so...

pretty sure she thinks so too.

even though this is the only project i was able to complete this weekend,

i was able to find and pick up more than a few supplies for upcoming projects.

my goal this weekend is to be completely carefree, creative and relaxed.

plan on doing all my cleaning and shopping thurs and fri

+ hoping for nice weather!
